In the area of international higher education, British Council leverages its global presence and extensive networks to provide authoritative, independent analysis and advice on international higher education trends and opportunities.

UNESCO

UNESCO's mission is to contribute to the building of peace, the eradication of poverty, sustainable development and intercultural dialogue through education, the sciences, culture, communication and information.

Since its creation in 1945, the organisation has worked to improve education worldwide, believing it to be key to social and economic development. It has also become an international laboratory of ideas, guiding the global debate on education by identifying and understanding the implications of emerging trends for the future of education.

Observatory on Borderless Higher Education (OBHE)

The Observatory on Borderless Education (OBHE) is a global strategic services organisation that conducts high level research and disseminates emerging trends, best practices, policy frameworks, and assessment and quality assurance information relevant to cross-border higher education programme delivery across the globe.

Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)

The OECD provides information on a broad range of topics to help governments foster prosperity and fight poverty through economic growth and financial stability.  Within the OECD Secretariat, the Directorate for Education provides comparative data and analysis on education policy-making to help build efficient and effective educational systems and improve learning outcomes.

Education Resource Information Centre (ERIC)

The Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) is an online digital library of education research and information. It is sponsored by the US Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences (IES) and provides ready access to education literature to support the use of educational research and information to improve practice in learning, teaching, educational decision-making, and research.

Journal of Studies in International Education (JSI)

The Journal of Studies in International Education (JSI) constitutes a forum for higher education administrators, educators, researchers and policy makers interested in research, reviews, and case studies on the internationalisation of higher education. Each issue brings together the concepts, strategies, and approaches of internationalisation, the internationalisation of the curriculum, and issues surrounding international students and cross-border delivery of education.

American Council on Education (ACE)

The America Council on Education (ACE) represents presidents and chancellors of all types of US accredited, degree-granting institutions. It provides leadership on key higher education issues and influences public policy through advocacy, research, and programme initiatives. ACE fosters greater collaboration and new partnerships within and outside the higher education community to help colleges and universities anticipate and address the challenges of the 21st century and contribute to a stronger nation and better world.

Universities Australia

Universities Australia represents Australia's 39 universities in the public interest, both nationally and internationally.

Universities Australia's mission is to:

  • advance and promote the benefits of Australian Universities to the nation
  • support Australian universities in the performance of their roles
  • develop policy positions on higher education matters through discussing higher education issues, including teaching, research and research training
  • advance internationalisation of Australian universities
  • provide information for and about Australian universities
  • provide services and programmes to Australian universities including the negotiation of common purchasing arrangements
  • promote the welfare of students, staff and graduates of Australian universities
    facilitate opportunities for Australian universities (in particular, their students, staff and graduates) to develop their knowledge and skills
  • study the problems and needs of Australian universities and their relations with other education institutions, organisations and the community and to encourage and sponsor their study
  • assist in the further development of Australian universities.

Education New Zealand

Education New Zealand is tasked to deliver strategies, programmes, and activities for promoting New Zealand education providers overseas.

Education New Zealand's mission is to:

  • promote New Zealand as an educational destination for international students
  • promote the provision of New Zealand education and training services overseas
  • manage, in collaboration with other government agencies, activities undertaken by representatives appointed to act on behalf of the New Zealand Government in relation to international education
  • carry out research on international education markets and marketing strategies
  • administer any international programmes or activities that are consistent with the Government's policy on international education
  • provide information, advice, and assistance, to providers on strategies to promote industry coordination and professional development
  • provide information to international students about living and studying in New Zealand
  • work with other agencies to ensure that international students are adequately supported while living and studying in New Zealand
  • foster collaborative networks with former international students.

The Chronicle of Higher Education is the No. 1 source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators. The newspaper is subscribed to by more than 64,000 academics and has a total readership of more than 315,000.

Campus Review

Campus Review is an Australasian newspaper dedicated to reporting higher education and vocational education and training issues. It is a subscription-based publication, published 48 times a year in hard copy and online.
