About the Training Gateway
The Training Gateway helps
UK and international public and private sector organisations
address their skills needs by providing a free single point of
contact through which to source corporate, vocational and executive
training and educational partnerships from UK universities and
colleges.
Allowing easy and direct access to over 2500 named coordinators in
every UK university and around 80 colleges, the Training Gateway
provides the most comprehensive access to university level
corporate, vocational and specialist training in the UK.
As well as providing access to training courses, the Training Gateway helps
businesses identify universities that can accredit their own in
house training programmes, develop bespoke packages and online or
work-based learning programmes.
The Training Gateway also
works with overseas educational institutions who wish to partner
with UK universities and colleges for UK recognition, joint
degrees, Foundation degrees, professional training for staff in
universities or colleges or other types of educational partnerships
including the development of joint programmes.

Service
New
business opportunities from clients across the world are
updated on the Training Gateway website on a daily basis and the
all members receive a weekly email detailing these new
opportunities in the area of corporate, vocational and executive
training and educational partnerships from the UK and overseas.
International Business Development
Activities
The Training Gateway also promotes, participates and organises
internal
and external missions from international training and
educational buyers. Such events allow our university staff to meet
with potential clients and customers both in the UK and
overseas.
Professional Development Training Courses and Workshops
for Members
The Training Gateway
offers members a range of other benefits including a portfolio of
tailored training courses developed to meet the
needs staff involved in managing or developing corporate training
programmes. These courses help develop the commercial and other
professional skills required to effectively manage and grow these
commercial activities within their institution. Courses
include:
- Commercial Development Programme - four
workshops which focus on the skills necessary to develop the
commercial capacity of your institution
- Total Proposal - a tender writing course
- Gateway to Export - which looks at how to
identify and develop international markets in which to sell
CPD. These courses are recognised as contributing to the
AURIL CPD framework and endorsed by the Institute of Knowledge
Transfer.
- A number of best practice and 'Key Issue' workshops are also
held each year on topics of interest as identified by the
membership e.g. Working with Professional Bodies.
